Week 7 Wrapped
I have to let you in on a little secret: I'm in another fantasy football league1. Don't worry, don't worry. I'm not Commish to them. I am just another manager competing for a slice of glory. I even won that league a few seasons ago2, which is something I have never achieved in do you like football.
What is confounding about all of this is that I am sole owner of last place in the other league. I sit 1-6 as of now despite following a similar methodology and similar research practices. This is not a plea for a pity party. It's just a reminder that effort is not a guarantee for results. It's also a reminder that I'd rather participate in do you like football than any other league in the world.
Predictions, scored

Crouching Tiger remembers to set its lineup and upsets Suphian's Revenge. James Cook III's bye week leaves an RB-sized hole for which there is no Revenge.
Full Point - Suphian's Revenge had a fine week from its running backs (15.20 and 16.60 from Warren and Corum, respectively), but Crouching Tiger did remember to set its lineup and got huge weeks from Burrow, Pollard, and Higgins (28.88, 35.00, and 23.80 points, respectively).
Rawdawgs gets a strong week from Maye, and The Fast and the Jahmyrious gets a stinker from Shough.
Full Point - 28.44 points from Maye (321 passing yards, 3 total TDs). Tyler Shough led the Saints in rushing yards (7, lol) but scored 14.82 total.
#MNF rides a huge Jordan Love game against the terrible Lions secondary to victory over Weekend Jail.
No Points - I didn't account for Brian Branch being back in the Lions secondary, which kept Love to a pedestrian 274 passing yards, 2 TDs and an interception. Perhaps I should have predicted anything for Weekend Jail, like Saquon Barkley being back in action or Rhamondre Stevenson being poised for a big week (20.00 points).
Acho Endzone's many roster moves are all for naught, and .08 Over Par gets a huge win. The people cheer!
Full Point - Thank goodness MoAE picked up Drake London, or this could have been uglier. Isaiah Likely didn't move the needle for him. .08 Over Par is the beneficiary of my incendiary Week 7 Preview blog post.
Swerski's Super Fans beats Commish and π¨ππππ¨. Kenneth Walker III is the difference in this one.
No Points - Swerski's couldn't bother to set its lineup this week, and Commish was the big beneficiary. Walker only scored 7.70 points from the bench.
Self-adjudicated score: 3/5
Prediction record this week: 3-2
Prediction record through Week 6: 20-15
Players, superlativized
High Flyer of the Week
given to the highest scoring rostered, active player each week

Tony Pollard, RB, of Crouching Tiger put up 35.00 points (3 rushing TDs, 155 total yards) after averaging 13.55 per week prior. An unexpected big week, but well-deserved honors for Tony!
Little Stinker of the Week
given to the lowest scoring rostered, active player each week

Jalen Coker, WR, Rawdawgs scored a measly 1.40 points (1 reception, 9 yards). This didn't slow down Rawdawgs, who still won by more than 25 points against The Fast and the Jahmyrious!
Dishonorable mentions
- Speaking of The Fast and the Jahmyrious, Nico Collins, WR, scored 1.60 points for it this week.
- Isaiah Likely, TE, was freshly traded to Acho Endzone this week, and its moving-in gift to the team was a stinky 2.20 points. I think I offered a trade for him to MoAE. Sad!
Bad Benching
given to the highest scoring rostered, but benched, player each week

Jameson Williams, WR, of Crouching Tiger had 23.60 bench points. Crouching Tiger won by 46 in spite of this, so not much was lost. Jamo has been heating up after a slow startΒ β can he keep it up against a stout Minnesota defense this weekend?
Dishonorable mentions
- Commish put Brock Purdy in over Dak Prescott (23.28 points, 3 TDs). It didn't affect the result of the matchup, but it would have had Swerski's started a QB this week.
- Quinshon Judkins, RB, of Rawdawgs scored 22.90 points (2 TDs, 104 total yards), which would have been a big improvement over Chase Brown, RB (7.80 points) and the stinker of the week, Jalen Coker.
Waiver Whiff
given to the non-rostered player who scored the most points each week

Bo Nix, QB, Denver scored 26.28 points (296 total yards, 2 total TDs) against the hapless Arizona defense. 8 of 10 teams in the league would have benefited by Nixing their starting QB in favor of Bo.
Exceeding Expectations Star of the Week
given to the team whose points total most greatly exceeded their projection each week

Crouching Tiger must have plugged the team into ChatGPT because it repeats for a second week as the Exceeding Expectations honoree. It scored 140.28 points against a projection of 109.92, thanks to big weeks out of the QB, RB1, and Flex spots. The Sitting Kitty hit this mark in spite of the Ravens Defense putting -3.00 on the board. Unreal.
Commish's Bright Move of the Week
something Commish noticed and liked each week

Weekend Jail got 13.00 points from the flex spot this week, thanks to someone named "RJ Harvey". Despite the demands of parenthood and modern professional life, I like to think I stay pretty dialed into the NFL and its players. I have never heard of Mr. Harvey before, and he scored 13.10 points last week as well. RJ Harvey looks like an NPC or a make-a-player from Madden 2008, but I'm happy he's playing well.
