Week 9 Preview
Some days, I think to myself that college football is an immoral and heinous institution, which should be completely ignored by civilized society. What do you think?
Walking the Wire

Commish (🚨👆👉👇🚨) was a main character on the wire this week.
Moves that caught my eye:
- Acho Endzone dropped Kyle Pitts Sr. and picked up Carnell Tate, who is out this week. Curious.
- #MNF was the beneficiary, picking up Pitts Sr. and dropping Seattle RB Emanuel Wilson. Good business.
- Commish was searching for answers on the wire, after Skattebo was marked as Doubtful and Garrett Wilson was declared Out. Luckily each player's handcuff was available and not too many tough decisions needed to be made.
Josh Allen Memorial Award for Highest Projected Points

Jahmyr Gibbs (The Fast and the Jahmyrious) retakes the projection crown, checking in with 22.77 theorized points against Miami compared to Josh Allen's 21.25 on the road against Minnesota's stout D.
Honorable mentions
- Brock Purdy, of 🚨👆👉👇🚨, projects to score 21.64 against the Raiders defense.
- #MNF's Bijan Robinson hopes to have 21.63 points in his future against the Bengals in Madrid.
Lowest Projected Starter of the Week
QB, WR, RB, TE only

Courtland Sutton, WR, Weekend Jail
7.14 points against Carolina
This is a relatively high score to be projected as lowest across the league. Are things heating up in November? The Broncos offense is fairly hapless, but Carolina just fired its DC so there's some hope?
Game of the Week
Acho Endzone vs 🚨👆👉👇🚨
Projected: 109.44 to 114.21, 223.65 combined
Could it be? Commish against the Manager of Acho Endzone (MoAE)? The original projection was a little wider, but the Thursday Night game made this look like the biggest thriller on paper (Trevor Lawrence of Acho Endzone and Bhayshul Tuten from Emoji Gang both had lower-than-projected outputs). This blog has spilled plenty of digital ink chirping about MoAE. Can Commish hold up his end of the bargain or will a mea culpa be filed next week? Time will tell.
Snoozefest of the Week
Swerski's Super Fans vs Weekend Jail
Projected: 113.66 to 101.23, 214.89 combined
Weekend Jail has had a tough season, now starting CJ Stroud at QB. Rough. Beyond Lamar Jackson's lack of availability, Saquon has been in and out (and now has no QB), the great RJ Harvey1 is on IR, and Monangai has been hurt after a promising start to the season. Swerski's should stay in the playoff hunt with a fairly procedural win here.
Commish's Picks

- As stated above, I think Swerski's Super Fans gets a comfortable win over Weekend Jail. Josh Allen coughs up the ball at least once at Minnesota, but that isn't enough to derail Swerski's. TE Kittle shows up well for Weekend Jail, but that's about it.
- The Fast and the Jahmyrious gets a huge day from its namesake, Gibbs, which outweighs the Tyler Shough of it all. Suphian's Revenge regrets starting Kirk Cousins, who had one too many root beers celebrating the Spartans victory on Saturday.
- Crouching Tiger remembers to start a RB over Tony Pollard (Hampton?), but it's not enough to beat #MNF. Big game for Nabers.
- .08 Over Par has an even better weekend. Goff puts up huge numbers against Miami, Drake Maye struggles against Green Bay's D2.
- You know I'm not picking Acho Endzone over 🚨👆👉👇🚨, no matter what the projections say. Purdy has a huge week. Singletary, too.
On the season: 23-17
Thank goodness for the NFL.
