Week 8 Preview
Where things stand

- Four teams sit at 5-2-0: if the season ended today this would be our playoff bracket
- Two teams are flirting with .500 (4-3, 3-4): a puncher's chance to get back in the mix
- Four teams are 2-5-0: who will dig out of this hole?
Walking the Wire

More than a third of the moves were made by Acho Endzone. Maybe this week it will help.
Moves that caught my eye:
- Acho Endzone snagged Kyle Pitts Sr., who has been on a nice track the past few weeks. Double digit points would be a boost for the TE slot while Likely is on a bye.
- #MNF had two moves I liked: picking up Vikings TE T.J. Hockenson ahead of homecoming matchup against the Detroit Lions. Hock has been up and down this season, even against sieve-esque Ds like Detroit's, but it's a reasonable bet. #MNF also picked up Omar Cooper Jr., WR, Jets. It's a swing at high upside after weeks of 19.30 and 20.0 points.
- Rawdawgs picked up Kaelon Black, which has expanded my universe of previously unknown players1.
Josh Allen Memorial Award for Highest Projected Points

Josh Allen is projected to score 24.64 points in his game against the Baltimore Ravens this week. Lamar Jackson is projected to play QB in this one, too. Should be fun! Swerski's Super Fans is the beneficiary here.
Non-Josh Allen Division

Dak Prescott, QB, 🚨👆👉👇🚨
22.29 points, vs. Arizona Cardinals
Commish is going to start Dak this week and live with the consequences. The Cowboys offense will aim to build off of a productive week against the injury-laden Eagles.
Lowest Projected Starter of the Week
QB, WR, RB, TE only

Kyle Pitts, TE, Acho Endzone
6.65 points against Tampa Bay
I already said I liked this move, and for what it's worth I think Kyle will be an above average starter at his position this week.
An honorable mention for J.K. Dobbins, RB, .08 Over Par, who checks in with a 7.48 point projection. RJ Harvey, RB, who I noted as a completely unknown entity in my last post2 hurt his knee this week and is on the IR. Sorry, Weekend Jail!
Game of the Week
#MNF vs Suphian's Revenge
Projected: 116.21 to 103.45, 219.66 combined
You know I couldn't turn my eye to this brotherly showdown. If #MNF wins, as projected, it will be at 4-4 and the battle for a playoff spot heats up. If other matchups had more attentive managers who set their lineups sooner (or ever), I may have had a more competitive projection for this slot...
Snoozefest of the Week
The Fast and the Jahmyrious vs Weekend Jail
Projected: 113.75 to 65.28, 179.03 combined
If Weekend Jail sets its QB and TE slots, that gets the projected score within 20. There is a chance that Lamar balls out and this gets competitive, but we'll see if that coincides with an updated lineup...TFatJ might be too formidable regardless.
Commish's Picks

- #MNF gets a big win against Suphian's Revenge. Even a game against the Jets can't elicit high-end production from Cousins at QB. Strong games from #MNF's Green Bay faction put this out of reach.
- The Fast and the Jahmyrious never has a doubt against Weekend Jail, in spite of a set lineup.
- Rawdawgs gets the win against Swerski's due to another unset lineup by the latter.
- Crouching Tiger and its cadre of Cincinnati Bengals hold on against Acho Endzone. Big weeks from Chase (WR) and Swift (RB). Not enough from Acho Endzone's receivers.
- It's closer than expected, but 🚨👆👉👇🚨 gets a win against .08 Over Par. Goff throws his first pick of the season against the Vikings defense, and that is one of a few things that get in the way of a .08 Over Par win.
On the season: 20-15
Week 8 marks our halfway point. Look forward to more in-depth review of the standings, projections, and options for teams to improve next week!
